According to JR East, the Tohoku Shinkansen has been suspended from its first train due to a power outage between Omiya Station in Saitama Prefecture and Oyama Station in Tochigi Prefecture. Work is underway to remove objects caught in the power lines, and operations are expected to resume at 9 a.m.

According to JR East, at around 5:45 a.m. today, when the electricity needed to operate the Shinkansen was transmitted between Omiya Station and Oyama Station, it was discovered that the electricity was not being transmitted properly and there was a power outage. .

For this reason, the Tohoku Shinkansen has suspended operation on the up and down lines between Tokyo Station and Sendai Station since the first train at 6 a.m., and has decided to cancel four trains, two each on the up and down lines.

In addition, due to this, the Yamagata Shinkansen has suspended operations between Tokyo Station and Fukushima Station, and the Akita Shinkansen has suspended operations between Tokyo Station and Sendai Station.

According to JR East, work is underway to remove objects caught in the power lines, and operations are expected to resume at 9 a.m.
